About TangoDestiny

We plan our holidays around milongas. This site is how we share what we find.

TangoDestiny is a guide to Argentine tango for anyone who loves the dance, wherever they live and however long they've been dancing.

Dancers on a tango floor at night under warm lights

Why we started

Finding a good tango event used to mean asking around. Dates lived in private groups, flyers and word of mouth. If you were new to a city, you often found the best milonga on your last night.

So we started keeping a list. It grew into a calendar, then into notes on what each event was like, then into guides on music and etiquette for friends who were just starting out. TangoDestiny is that list, made public.

What we care about

Three promises we keep.

Checked by hand

Every event is confirmed with the organiser before it goes live. If the dates change, we update the listing.

Free to list, free to read

Organisers don't pay to appear, and dancers don't pay to browse. Big festivals and small neighbourhood milongas get the same space.

Friendly to beginners

We explain the words tango people use without thinking. Nobody should feel lost at their first milonga.

How a listing gets published

From your inbox to our calendar in about a week.

1

You send the details

Event name, type, city, venue, dates, DJs or orchestra, and a link for registration.

2

We check with you

We reply with any questions and confirm the event type so dancers know what to expect.

3

It goes live

Your event appears on the calendar and in the event type pages, free of charge.

"A tango is three minutes with a stranger that can feel like an old friendship. We want more people to have those three minutes."
