Privacy Policy
How we handle your information
The short version: we collect only what we need to reply to you and publish events. We don't sell your data, and we don't run advertising trackers.
1. What we collect
When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write in the message. If you submit an event, we also receive the event details and any organiser contact information you choose to include.
When you browse the site, our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time of the visit.
2. How we use it
To reply to your message
To check and publish event listings you send us
To keep the site secure and working properly
To count visits in aggregate, so we know which guides are useful
3. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that the site needs to work, such as remembering your language choice. If we add privacy-friendly analytics, we'll use a tool that doesn't identify you personally and we'll update this page first.
4. Sharing
We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the site, such as our hosting and email providers, and only as much as they need to do that job. Organiser details you ask us to publish will appear on the public listing.
5. How long we keep it
We keep messages for up to two years so we can follow up on listings and corrections. Server logs are deleted after 90 days. Past event listings stay online as part of the calendar archive unless the organiser asks us to remove them.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
